Friday, June 11, 2010. The process both with canvas or my small blog paintings is great care is given to the surface. I want the paintings to last for a very long time. Whether wood, archival board or canvas, the surface is prepared with two or three coats of gesso with sanding between each, then an oil base primer is applied and left to dry. All is treated with respect and love. I like doing all this , a bit of overkill, Yes! So for me, here it is in a nutshell.

Most heavy-hitters who align themselves with an opportunity seem to only want to peddle their worthless marketing material. Their main objective is to push So Much Stuff The Average Person Does Not Want or Need! Seldom focusing on the opportunity or the needs and training of their team. It was their marketing material.

Sunday, June 13, 2010. I do love painting in black and white, it is a definite challenge but, I love the whole process of it, the making of the color black. This painting is a 36x36 inch oil on canvas. As a side note, I am only showing on this site a few of the fourteen canvases I painted for this show, thought you might like to know.
